Ben Watson: Alternative TV in Walthamstow

What is rock if it's not a bestselling album? Worthless, according to the professional rockwriter lickspittles. But we beg to differ. Here's evidence for our case: a gig played by Alternative TV at The Plough in Walthamstow on 28 May 2005 broadcast a few days later on Ben Watson's Resonance show. "Here we all are from the 80s, still at poorly attended gigs" as MC Jim MacDougall put it from the stage.

In short: an episode of Ben Watson's late Lunch With Out To Lunch originally broadcast on Resonance FM with recordings of the Mad Pride gig Alternative TV played at The Plough in Walthamstow the previous Saturday (28-v-2005) with Jim MacDougall as compere, plus Kerstin Stakemeier on art after the Russian Revolution at the Marxism and the Interpretation of Culture seminar in Senate House and the Wolfgang Fuchs Sextet.
